Black Tea: After picking, the tea leaves are left to absorb oxygen before firing. The black tea section of the Savoure Tea Shop includes caffeinated and de-caffeinated tea selections as well as blends and estate teas.

Estate Tea: Like fine wine, good teas come from good estates; we choose from the best.

Green Tea: Unoxidized tea. Green teas have a subtle and refreshing taste. This category includes teas from China and Japan, as well as sencha green tea and genmaicha tea blends. High in anti-oxidents, green tea is well regarded for its many health benefits.

Herbal Tea: Tisanes are infusions of dried or fresh flowers or leaves which comprise herbal tea.
Rooibos, also known as Red Bush, is a popular herbal tea native to the Cape Town region of South Africa.
Except for the matés, which contain mateine, a form of caffeine, herbal tea is naturally caffeine free, and comes in a variety of flavors from floral to fruity, spicy to sweet.

Iced Tea: Tea can be a refreshing pick-me-up on a hot day. These teas taste terrific iced, with flavors that range from traditional to fruity to floral.

Non-Caffeine Tea: Includes both naturally caffeine free tisanes and fruit blends and de-caffeinated black teas. Both of our decaf teas are de-caffeinated using the CO2 high pressure process, which allows our teas to be completely solvent-free.

Oolong Tea: Tea leaves that are semi-oxidized, resulting in a brew that is between Green and Black Tea. Oolong teas are renowned for their complex tastes and aromas.

The term "oolong" means "black dragon" or "black snake" in Chinese. Various legends describe the origin of this curious name. In one legend, the owner of a tea plantation was scared away from his drying tea leaves by the appearance of a black snake; when he cautiously returned several days later, the leaves had been oxidized by the sun and gave a delightful brew.

Savoure offers Oolong tea from China or Taiwan in flavored or natural varieties.

Organic Tea: These teas and herbs are certified organically grown; i.e. the leaves have not been subjected to chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Our organically grown selections include both caffeinated and non-caffeinated teas.

White Tea: Processed only by steaming and drying, white tea is the most delicate and subtle tasting of teas. White tea is pale yellow when brewed, low in caffeine and has a mild, subtly sweet taste.

Flavor: From sweet, rich chocolates to the most delicate floral or verdant flavors, we've got a tea to suit your taste buds. Easily find the taste you're looking for by sorting our tea catalog by flavor.

Time of Day: Looking for a good tea to wake up with? Or maybe a relaxing cup for after work? Sort our tea catalog to find our favorite recommendations for any time you'd like to make teatime.

Type: The differences you see between teas are mainly due to how they are prepared once they have been plucked. Black teas are left out to dry (oxidize) the longest, oolongs have a little less oxidation time, green teas have much less oxidation time, and white teas none at all. This view of our catalog shows you our tea sorted by these different types.
